What to expect

It's nothing like you see on TV

Most of our members arrived with no idea what to expect. Here's what your introduction evening actually looks like — calm, structured, and entirely beginner-friendly.

A proper welcome

You'll be greeted, shown how the club works, and introduced to the range. No awkward standing around wondering what to do.

Clear safety briefing

Simple, practical, and reassuring. You'll know exactly what to do — and what not to do — before you ever touch a firearm.

Supervised shooting

You'll shoot air pistols and rifles using club equipment — no licence required. Range Officers are with you every step of the way.

Plenty of questions

We expect them — and enjoy them. There's always time to ask anything you want, however basic it might seem.

Completely free

Your first induction session is our gift. No charge, no obligation. Air sessions after that run to around £3–5 each.

No pressure to progress

Many members enjoy air shooting for years and are perfectly happy. You set the pace. There's no expectation to move on.

Before you come

A few important things to know

Local area

We're best suited to people within around 30 miles of Reigate, Surrey. Regular attendance is important during the probationer period.

Accessibility

Our ranges are in historic sand caves with steps, small doorways, and uneven surfaces. We cannot safely accommodate significant mobility impairments. Please contact us if you have questions.

Juniors

Juniors are very welcome. There's no fixed minimum age — they simply need to be able to follow instruction and understand that a firearm is not a toy. Each junior must have their own account.

No licence needed to start

You don't need a firearms certificate to come along and try air shooting with club equipment. Everything is provided and fully supervised.
